How Solopreneurs Can Stay Motivated

Whether or not you started your business with a solid business or no business plan at all, and you know everything about the business you’re in, staying motivated every day is key to your business. As staying in business. As the quote from Ben Franklin goes, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”, is so true. It may sound like a cliché, but it should be branded on the brain.

Many entrepreneurs hate to plan or even have a good goal system in place. But either way, a decision is made whether you make or not. Decisions have to be made every day and you don’t they will be made by the actions taken or not taken. . So to help motivate you on a daily, weekly, monthly, etc., we’ll just start with a weekly plan or goals. On Monday plan your week, day by day with time for each task. Then do the same for the month.

So if there are times when you can’t get motivated, what will you do? Before I provide some suggestions, I’d like to preface it with the fact that I’ve been making my living as a solopreneur for over two decades and have been a serial entrepreneur as long as I can remember. Plus I’m basing this having known many other entrepreneurs throughout the years.

There are many Solopreneurs that have different have as many business models. But as an example, if you provide a service and generate all the sales. One suggestion is to split the day, ½ day sales/marketing and second ½ manage your projects. Granted there are many other tasks you will do, but without generating sales and performing the work on the projects you’ve sold you won’t have a business very long.

Trust me, if you start out the week knowing exactly what needs to be done and have goals in place the more motivated you should be to get the day started. This may not be your exact situation, but it has helped me a lot. After all the average person usually says, there’s no way they could get up every day, motivate themselves drive business, perform the work, run the business without someone looking over their shoulder. There you have it entrepreneurs are different because they can’t have someone them looking over their shoulder.
